Who We Are

Stray Catz, Inc. is a community based non-profit volunteer organization working to stem the growing population of homeless, stray, and feral cats through education and community action. The organization was formed in 1987.

Our mission is two-fold:

We help caregivers by trapping, neutering, and returning feral cats to their original location where the caregivers continue to feed, shelter, and monitor the colony. This is known as TNR or trap, neuter, return. These cats are not adoptable and are content to live outside with daily care.

Occasionally, we trap cats that are adoptable, usually strays that were once house pets. These cats are vetted, fostered, and adopted through PetSmart in the Nassau Park Center on Route 1 in Princeton. The same is true for kittens that are young enough to be socialized.

Stray Catz, Inc. operates soley through donations and grants.
